Global Korean pop star Heyoon is diving into the world of electronic music with her latest single “Addicted,” a deep house track that marks a significant creative evolution for the artist.

The bass-driven song represents Heyoon’s most hands-on creative effort to date, with the singer taking the lead on both writing and composing duties while maintaining a prominent role throughout the production process. The is mixed by engineer Andrew Wuepper, whose resume includes work with Frank Ocean, Rihanna and Beyoncé, and mastered by Dale Becker, known for his work with Billie Eilish, SZA and Doja Cat.

“Addicted” weaves a narrative rooted in R.E.M. sleep, following a mysterious dream entity that lures people with hypnotic movement. The concept explores how dreamers fall into cycles of sleepless obsession, chasing the figure across dreams in an endless trance. Through this surreal framework, Heyoon examines themes of seduction, addiction, ecstasy and downfall.

The release marks Heyoon’s third single under Universal Music Korea, following her solo debut “Pivot” featuring Armani White, and her sophomore effort “ASAP.”

Heyoon’s transition to solo artistry comes after five years with global pop group Now United, where she built a reputation through sold-out stadium tours across more than 30 countries and contributed to over 100 singles and music videos. Raised in South Korea and now splitting time between Seoul and Los Angeles, the artist has expanded her influence beyond music into philanthropy and fashion.

Her philanthropic efforts include supporting the Art of Elysium, with aspirations to establish a foundation for children worldwide. On the fashion front, Heyoon has made appearances at Paris Fashion Week.
