Vance Issues Warning to Israeli Critics of U.S.-Iran Peace Agreement
Vice President JD Vance issued a warning to members of Israel’s government who were critical of the U.S.-Iran peace agreement on Thursday, cautioning them not to alienate their most important ally.
All right. Good morning, everybody. Nothing to talk about. Slow news day here. Donald J. Trump is the only head of state in the entire world who is sympathetic to the nation of Israel at this moment in time, and he happens to be the head of state of the world’s superpower. If I was in the cabinet of the Israeli government, I might not be attacking the only powerful ally that I have anywhere left in the entire world. What the president has grown frustrated sometimes is that we seem to be right on the cusp of a major breakthrough in the agreement, and then all of a sudden, there’s a major explosion that goes off in a civilian population center in Beirut. And a lot of people who have nothing to do with Hezbollah lose their lives. Words don’t matter, ladies and gentlemen. We’re about verification. They have promised not to enrich. They have promised that they would allow inspectors in to destroy that highly enriched stockpile. And then, of course, it’s not usable anymore. You take it somewhere else. They promised a number of things. And that’s why the deal contemplates a number of benefits if they do those things.
