Trump Signs Bill to End Government Shutdown

President Trump signed a funding bill to end the longest shutdown in U.S. history shortly after the House of Representatives passed the spending package in a 222-209 vote.

“It’s an honor now to sign this incredible bill and get our country working again.” “The yeas are 222. The nays are 209. The bill is passed.” “We feel very relieved tonight. The Democrat shutdown is finally over. Millions of American families went without food on their table. You had millions of Americans stranded in airports with their flights canceled and delayed.” “House Democrats will continue to fight to address the health care crisis that Republicans have created. This fight is not over. We’re just getting started.”
