Competitors take part in the Vortex race near Lausanne, Switzerland, on October 16, 2025. About 2,000 participants, mostly students, take part in this unique race that involves running up the 2.8-kilometer helicoidal passageway of the Vortex, an iconic eight-floor circular building on the campus of the University of Lausanne.
