Addison Rae welcomed Charli XCX to the stage during her performance at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre last night. Charli joined Rae for two of their prior collaborations: a rendition of “Von Dutch Remix,” off Charli’s 2024 effort Brat and It’s Completely Different but Also Still Brat, and Rae’s 2023 track “2 Die 4.”

For the finale, Rae returned to the stage for an encore of “Nothing On (But the Radio),” a track that isn’t typically on her set list. The singer first appeared on the screens, getting undressed backstage, before the lights dimmed and she emerged again to perform the deep cut. The moment may have been an homage to Lady Gaga’s Mayhem Ball, as Gaga similarly performs “How Bad Do U Want Me” after every show. (Gaga originally recorded “Nothing On” as a demo in 2010.)

“2 Die 4” appeared on Rae’s EP AR, and marked the first collaboration from the pair. They later teamed up for “Von Dutch” alongside A. G. Cook, and on Cook’s track “Lucifer.” Earlier this year, Charli raved about Rae to Rolling Stone, saying, “It’s been fun to watch her evolve. Everything she does relates back to her art — every item of clothing she wears, everything she says in a red-carpet interview, everything she tweets — it all is a part of the world-building.”

Rae dropped her most recent album, Addison, in June. She has been touring extensively through the late summer and fall, with upcoming dates in Australia in November. Next year, she’ll head back to Australia, as well as South America for several music festivals, including Lollapalooza Chile and Lollapalooza Brazil. She’s set to take the stage at Coachella in April and Primavera Sound in Barcelona in June.

Charli XCX has been splitting her time between music and a burgeoning film career. She stopped by Lorde’s show at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles last year to perform their collaborative version of “Girl, So Confusing.” The duo previously performed the remix together during Charli’s co-headlining Sweat Tour with Troye Sivan in 2024, and earlier this year, they teamed up to perform it during Charli’s appearance at Coachella in April.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Dakota Johnson is eying Charli XCX for her directorial debut film, A Tree Is Blue. Her upcoming slate of appearances includes Cathy Yan’s The Gallerist, Gregg Araki’s I Want Your Sex, and Julia Jackson’s 100 Nights of Hero, as well as The Moment, the Aidan Zamiri film based on her own original story.

“I am really enjoying my acting journey,” Charli told Variety earlier this year. “I feel very, very inspired at the moment in that field, I feel unbelievably creative, and I only ever want to do things that inspire me and make me feel energized.”
