Comedy production house American High has set its next movie with Hulu.

Titled “Never Change!,” the film is directed by Marty Schousboe (“Joe Pera Talks With You,” “A Maine Movie”) and written by John Reynolds (“Search Party,” “Stranger Things”).

It follows a class of 30-somethings who are brought back to high school for one last shot at graduation. Per the logline: “In 2005 the graduating class of North Meadows High School had their senior year cut short due to a disastrous tornado that wrecked half the school. Now in their mid 30s they’re being forced to return home and finish high school once and for all. Old flames, second chances, hidden secrets, this is what nightmares are made of…”

“Never Change!” will begin production this year in Syracuse, N.Y., on the American High campus and in surrounding areas. The film is produced by Jon Watts for Freshman Year; Nicholas Hatton and Jason Woliner for Swindle; Jeremy Garelick and Will Phelps for American High; Billy Rosenberg for All Things Comedy; and Jason Zaro. Molle Debartolo is an executive producer, Axelle Azoulay co-produces and Matt Sacca is an associate producer.

American High is a comedy production hub that operates out of a high school campus in Upstate New York. Founded by Garelick in 2017, the company has produced 22 films, including the Pete Davidson starrer “Big Time Adolescence” and the contraceptive comedy “Plan B.” Coming in 2026 is American High’s most large-scale movie yet, “Rolling Loud,” which stars Owen Wilson as an overprotective father who loses his 13-year-old son at a hip-hop music festival in Miami. In 2023, American High launched a digital comedy ecosystem, creating short-form content for social media with a batch of young comedic actors that the company can then funnel through its film production pipeline.
