    Government Shutdown Disruptions Begin

    The government shutdown has affected visits to some sites like Everglades National Park and the Liberty Bell and left some infrastructure projects in limbo.

    “We spent a lot of money to get here, so hopefully we can do all the things we want to do.” “We really could use a subway down here. The bus doesn’t even come all the way to the end anymore.” “Aviation is really important in Houston. Right at this moment, they’re not coming, but we’re waiting on Department of Defense and all that to verify all that.”
