Government Shutdown Looms Unless Lawmakers Extend Funding
Democrats and Republicans have not agreed to a deal to extend federal funding to avert a federal shutdown.
“Well, we’re going to see, but the radical-left Democrats want to shut it down. I mean it’s up to them. So if it has to shut down, it’ll have to shut down. But they’re the ones that are shutting down.” “We are ready. We are willing. We are able. What we will not do is support a partisan Republican spending bill that continues to gut the health care of the American people. Republicans control the House and the Senate and has a Republican president. If the government shuts down, it’s because Republicans want to shut the government down.”
