A series adaptation of “Paid in Full” is currently in early development from Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Miramax.

No writer or network/streamer is currently attached to the project, but the search is actively on for someone to help develop the series. Jackson will produce via G-Unit Film & Television.

“Paid in Full” was originally released in theaters in 2002. It was inspired by the lives of New York drug dealers Azie Faison, Rich Porter, and Alpo Martinez. The characters based on them were played by Wood Harris, Mekhi Phifer, and Cam’ron respectively. In the film, three friends quickly rise through the ranks of the Harlem drug trade, but their success comes at a terrible price.

Though not a breakout success at the box office, the film has developed a strong cult following since its initial release.

Should the show move forward, it would mark the latest scripted drama set in the drug world for Jackson and G-Unit Film & TV. The company previously produced the hit Starz drama “Power,” which aired for six seasons, in addition to producing all of the spinoffs. Three other “Power” shows have been produced to date, while the prequel “Power: Origins” has been ordered to series.

G-Unit Film & TV currently produces the Starz series “BMF,” which is based on the true story of the origins of the Black Mafia Family. The fourth season of that show aired in June. Jackson also appeared onscreen in “Power” as Kanan Stark, reprising that role in “Power Book II: Ghost.” He has directed episodes of both “Power” and “BMF” as well.

Other G-Unit Film & TV projects include “For Life” at ABC and the documentary “TikTok Star Murders” and docuseries “The Gilgo Beach Killer: House of Secrets” for Peacock.

Jackson is repped by IAG, attorney Stephen J Savva, and AKRPR.
