CBS is expanding the TV footprint for the Golden Globe Awards.

The network and Globes producer Dick Clark Productions are teaming for a special called Golden Eve that will highlight the winners of the honorary Cecil B. DeMille and Carol Burnett awards. It’s set to debut Jan. 8 on CBS and Paramount+, three days before the awards ceremony.

Golden Eve will feature in-depth interviews and career retrospectives for the recipients of the two special awards, honoring people from the movie (DeMille) and TV (Burnett) business who have made lasting contributions on and off screen. Viola Davis and Ted Danson received the 2025 DeMille and Burnett awards; honorees for 2026 haven’t been announced yet.

CBS parent Paramount is also planning a “Golden Week” stunt across its platforms that will highlight kick-off events and other aspects of the Globes.

“We are so excited to expand our partnership with CBS and bring the Golden Globes to an even wider audience across the Paramount portfolio,” said Jay Penske, CEO of Dick Clark Productions. “With Golden Eve, we will celebrate the industry’s most talented and influential figures, recognizing the recipients of the prestigious Cecil B. DeMille Award and Carol Burnett Award. This is a chance to properly honor those who have so profoundly shaped our culture with more than a two-minute awards moment. This event and special will occur during ‘Golden Week,’ a premier cross-platform initiative with CBS that transforms the Globes into a multi-day cultural event, making it a cornerstone of the awards season.”

Added CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach, “CBS has long championed excellence in arts and entertainment and that will continue in 2026. “With Golden Eve and Golden Week, we’ll celebrate the Golden Globes across CBS and Paramount, creating an immersive experience that brings viewers closer to one of Hollywood’s most iconic events.”

Dick Clark Productions is owned by Penske Media Eldridge, a joint venture between Penske Media Corporation and Eldridge that also owns The Hollywood Reporter.
