The superstar has been welcoming everyone, from Lebron to Mbappe, to his shows on the island
Bad Bunny never does what’s expected — and his historic residency in Puerto Rico this summer is no exception. Rather than launch a worldwide tour first, the superstar decided to give fans a chance to come to him and the island that’s always inspired him by launching a 10-week run of performances at the iconic “El Choli” Coliseo de Puerto Rico.
Fittingly, Puerto Rico is the focus of his most recent album DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS, so a residency is the perfect invitation for people to see the island and its traditions. The shows kicked off on July 11 and already, they’ve drawn out all-star attendees, from LeBron James to Mbappe, and special guests, like RaiNao and Jowell & Randy. In between, Bad Bunny has had sweet moments with fans and he’s even gotten teary singing some of the songs on the set list. Here are some of the buzziest, most memorable moments of the residency so far.
The Viral Grandma Having the Best Time

It’s possible that no one enjoyed any of Bad Bunny’s shows more than Dorca Rivera Rosa, a Puerto Rican grandmother who the internet fell in love with this month. She’d been dancing the night away at El Choli with her grandchildren when Bad Bunny spotted her and demanded she come onstage. “I heard him say, ‘Bring her up!’ And the security lifted me up until I got to him and he gave me a hug and kissed me on the cheek,” she recounted on the news later. “They told him, ‘That lady over there has flow and swagger.’” —Julyssa Lopez
RaiNao Stealing the Show

On the second night of Benito’s residency, RaiNao joined him onstage to sing their sultry collaboration “Perfumito Nuevo,” off Debí Tirar Más Fotos. The duo had performed the track on Saturday Night Live back in May, but the No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí performance marked their first official concert debut of the song. RaiNao returned for yet another flirtatious rendition of “Perfumito Nuevo” on the fifth night, glimmering in a beaded bikini top — and stealing the show with every dance move. —Maya Georgi
Mbappe Being Bad Bunny’s Number One Fan

The biggest football (yes, football) stars in the world couldn’t go without some reggaeton. During one of Bad Bunny’s residency shows on July 19, French star Kylian Mbappé and his former PSG teammate Achraf Hakimi were spotted dancing onstage to “Titi Me Preguntó” alongside reggaetonero Eladio Carrión. The soccer stars could be seen jumping along as Benito walked by and sang along to the fan-favorite. – Tomas Mier
Bad Bunny Debuting ‘ALAMBRE PúA’

Bad Bunny loves a surprise drop, so it makes sense he timed a new single when people were least expecting. He performed his newest song “ALAMBRE PúA” onstage first, using it as the show-opener at his residency at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico. A little while later, he dropped the official visualizers, which shows a woman in a traditional folk dress moving across the beach.—J.L.
A Tribute to Jíbaros

Bad Bunny’s residency is an homage to Puerto Rico overall, and he doesn’t shy away from large statements during the show. At the beginning of the concert, he opens with folk dancers and classic music from the island before he emerges dressed as a jíbaro. On a large screen, he displays the message in Spanish: “Puerto Rico is a non-incorporated territory of the United States but it has its flag, its culture and its own identity.” —T.M.
Bad Bunny Tears Up During ‘Turista’

It’s no secret that Debí Tirar Más Fotos means a lot to Bad Bunny. It’s one of the most personal, and the song “Turista,” which blends heartbreak with the realities of the island, is an especially poignant cut on the project. On the second weekend of his residency, it seems all the emotion caught up to Bad Bunny — the normally even-keeled star started to tear up as he performed the song for thousands of adoring fans, making for an endearing moment. —J.L.
Jowell & Randy Hit the Stage

Bad Bunny has made sure to give credit to reggaeton OGs throughout his career, looping them into collabs and honoring them in interview. He notably brought reggaeton royalty Jowell & Randy onto his hit “Safaera,” and he made sure to also welcome them onstage for a charged performance at the residency. —J.L.
LeBron Having the Time of His Life

The first night of Bad Bunny’s No Me Quiero Ir de Aqui residency was a slam dunk when none other than LeBron James joined Bad Bunny at El Choli. The NBA star danced along to vivacious hits like “Nuevayol” and “Tití Me Preguntó,” with a drink in his hand, clearly having the time of his life. He danced with Los Pleneros de la Cresta during their “Café Con Ron” drum solo, hitting every beat. At one point, James sat atop the casita set as Bad Bunny ignited the crowd with “Safaera.” —M.G.
Jhayco Makes an Appearance

The residency has been full of special guests, newcomer RaiNao and longtime OGs Jowell & Randy to name a few. However, fans almost lost it when Jhayco came by during the second night of the run and joined Bad Bunny onstage. The two of them have a long list of hits together: “No Me Conoce,” “Tarot,” “Dakiti,” so people were thrilled to see them reunite for the special event. —J.L.
Ricky Martin (and His Boys!) Live La Vida Loca

Ricky Martin was all smiles — and so were his twin boys! — as they danced along to Bad Bunny’s show during his July 18 concert. During the show, the “Livin’ La Vida Loca” icon rocked a floral shirt as Bad Bunny walked around with his phone, taking selfies with Ricky and his smiling twins, Matteo and Valentino. — T.M.
Gilberto Santa Rosa Takes Salsa to the Next Level

The last section of Bad Bunny’s concert features a full-on salsa segment, where he performs a salsa version of “Callaita” and his salsa hit “Baile Inolvidable.” Fans always go wild — but El Choli went into an even more intense frenzy when Bad Bunny brought out salsa legend Gilberto Santa Rosa. The veteran singer helped perform “Baile Inolvidable,” adding a new verse, and then went on to sing his 2001 classic “La Agarro Bajando.”
Young Miko Parties at La Casita

Each night, a little traditional Puerto Rican house sitting on the stage — known lovingly as La Casita — fills up with performers and special guests, who have ranged from Ricky Martin to Mbappe. On the third weekend of the residency, it was Young Miko’s chance to turn up for a mini house party. The beloved rapper dove into “FINA,” her collaboration with Bad Bunny, and hyped up the crowd. —J.L.
Tainy Takes the Turn Tables

Bad Bunny and Tainy have been a packaged deal for a long time, with Tainy serving as a producer for some of El Conejo’s biggest hits. It makes sense then that the veteran artist and sound architect had a special place at the residency: On the third weekend, he took over for a bit, stepping behind the turntables and performing a DJ set that featured hits that date back to his start in reggaeton when he was a teenager.
Austin Butler and Darren Aronofsky Have One Hell of a Time in La Casita

Did anyone have more fun at the residency than Bad Bunny’s Caught Stealing friends Darren Aronofsky and Austin Butler? Both were filmed having a blast at La Casita (Aronofsky surrounded by a sea of perreo dancers is a highlight of 2025 so far), and photos surfaced of them hanging with Bad Bunny in Puerto Rico after the show. A few days later, Butler had a hilarious revelation: “Somebody gave me an edible right before the show, and I thought that was a good idea at the time,” he said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. —J.L.
Lorén Aldarondo Sings ‘Lo Que Paso a Hawaii’

Throughout the residency, several iconic Puerto Rican singers have come out to perform moving renditions of “Lo Que Paso a Hawaii,” one of the most powerful songs on DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS. But when Chuwi’s lead singer Lorén Aldarondo delivered her evocative take, the moment felt especially poignant. Aldaraondo stepped into the music scene in 2019, just as P.R. was in the middle of political uprisings and with each note, you could tell she felt the lyrics deeply. She’s been at the residency almost each night performing “Weltita” with her band, but this was a chance for her to step out and show the full muscle of her voice. —M.G.
Rauw Alejandro Makes It Happen

It was only a matter of time before fellow Puerto Rican Latin music titan Rauw Alejandro joined Benito on the island. During one of the later shows in September, Alejandro emerged on top of La Casita to a roaring crowd as the pair’s Un Verano Sin Ti collaboration “Party” played. The also performed their 2024 collaboration “Qué Pasaría…” At one point, the night turned into a full-on Rauw concert as he performed “Punto 40,” and “Lokeria” solo and even live-debuted “Buenos Términos.” —M.G.El Concho Screams Iconic ‘VOY A LLeVARTE PA PR’ Line ‘Acho PR Es Otra Cosa’

Bad Bunny’s residency has developed its own traditions throughout the summer. One of those happens just before Benito dives into “VOY A LLeVARTE PA PR,” where he taps a special guest in La Casita to scream out the iconic opening lines “Acho, PR es otra cosa.” Everyone from Belinda to Penelope Cruz to Sech have shouted it out, but when the voice actor behind DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS’ concho character, Kenneth Canales, delivered, it was particularly full circle. —M.G.
