Paramount Skydance recruited Dane Glasgow, a veteran tech exec most recently at Meta’s Facebook, as chief product officer.
Glasgow reports directly to David Ellison, chairman and CEO of Paramount Skydance, the company formed by Skydance Media’s deal to acquire Paramount Global that closed last month. Glasgow starts in the new role Sept. 29.
The company’s hiring of Glasgow “underscores” Ellison’s “strong commitment to aligning with leading technology innovators to build a next-generation company at the forefront of where entertainment is headed,” Paramount Skydance said in announcing the news. Glasgow will work closely with Cindy Holland, the ex-Netflix exec who heads Paramount Skydance’s Direct-to-Consumer group “to ensure alignment and collaboration across platforms, products and audience-engagement strategies,” the company said.

Most recently, Glasgow has served as VP of product management for Meta’s Facebook, where he leads the product teams delivering Feed, Stories, Reels, Groups, Marketplace, Gaming, Ads and more to over 3 billion monthly active users around the world. He previously led Facebook’s group.
Prior to joining Meta in 2021, Glasgow held senior leadership positions in product, design, engineering and general management at Google, eBay and Microsoft. He also is an entrepreneur, having launched businesses in entertainment, finance and communications. Glasgow attended Cornell University, where he majored in computer science before leaving at the beginning of his senior year to focus on launching a startup.

According to Paramount Skydance, Glasgow lives in California with his family “and is still an active maker at heart — building robots, writing software and creating films.”
