Disney’s “The Roses” opened in first place at the U.K. and Ireland box office, grossing £2.1 million ($2.9 million) in its debut frame, according to Comscore. The film was the clear market leader in a weekend where several new entries helped shake up the chart.

Universal’s 50th anniversary re-release of Steven Spielberg’s “Jaws” made a strong showing at No. 2, pulling in $1.4 million across its first weekend. The classic thriller outpaced the fourth-week run of Warner Bros.’ “Weapons,” which moved to No. 3 with $1.1 million, bringing its cumulative total to $14 million.

Universal’s animated sequel “The Bad Guys 2” held well at No. 4, taking $1.09 million for a running total of $16 million. Disney’s body-swap comedy “Freakier Friday” rounded out the top five, collecting $1.01 million in its fourth weekend to lift its total to $10 million.

Sony’s “Caught Stealing” launched at No. 6 with $772,462, while event cinema drew crowds with “Andre Rieu’s 2025 Maastricht Concert: Waltz The Night Away!,” which bowed at No. 7 with $765,911. Warner Bros. added more franchise muscle to the market with its 20th anniversary reissue of “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” conjuring $687,119 at No. 8.

Disney’s “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” in its sixth week, moved to No. 9 with $683,528, pushing its cumulative gross to $31.2 million. Rounding out the top 10 was Magic Rays’ Indian Malayalam-language superhero film “Lokah Chapter One: Chandra,” which debuted with $452,426.

Coming up, MusicFilmNetwork presents “William and Harry: The Unseen Photos” on Wednesday, a one-day-only documentary directed by Tim Conrad. Featuring contributions from Ken Wharfe, Katie Nichol, Princess Esmerelda of Belgium and Ian Vogler, the film promises a candid look at two of the most photographed men in the world, with rare archival imagery and insider commentary.

Thursday sees the National Theatre’s “Inter Alia – NT Live 2025,” headlined by Rosamund Pike, part of the ongoing live theater broadcast series, continue its reach into cinemas.

Friday brings the widest range of new releases. Zee Studios International rolls out Bollywood film “The Bengal Files,” while Warner Bros. unleashes supernatural horror with “The Conjuring: Last Rites.” Bakrania Media launches multiple Indian titles including true crime thriller “Udaipur Files: Kanhaiya Lal Tailor Murder,” sci-fi thriller “Mirai” and action drama sequel “Baaghi 4.” From Park Circus comes the 30th anniversary reissue of “Jumanji,” returning Joe Johnston’s fantasy adventure starring Robin Williams to the big screen across more than 100 locations.

Kaleidoscope Entertainment introduces “Row,” a psychological thriller, while Altitude Film Distribution fields two offerings: Sean Ellis’ boxing thriller “The Cut,” starring Orlando Bloom, John Turturro and Caitríona Balfe, set to open across 100+ sites, and Brendan Canty’s Berlinale-winning drama “Christy.” Sony Pictures delivers “On Swift Horses,” starring Daisy Edgar-Jones, Jacob Elordi and Will Poulter, while Bulldog Film Distribution handles British indie “Signs of Life.” Conic unveils Venice prize winner “Paul & Paulette Take a Bath.”

Universal brings in Ethan Coen’s “Honey Don’t!,” starring Margaret Qualley, Aubrey Plaza and Chris Evans, and MetFilm Distribution expands its slate with two releases — Irish Oscar entry “Sanatorium” and drama “The Courageous,” which bowed at Toronto.
