Rachel Sennott‘s upcoming HBO comedy series has set its official title: “I Love LA.” The series will premiere on Nov. 2, with episodes dropping weekly until the finale on Dec. 21.
The news was announced alongside a promotional image of Sennott undergoing laser hair removal while wearing a shirt and underwear that both boast the new title, plus first look images from episodes of the show.
Details surrounding the plot of “I Love LA” still remain sparing, with a logline that simply reads, “An ambitious friend group navigates life and love in LA.”
Sennott, who created and executive produces the series, stars as Maia. The cast also includes Jordan Firstman as Charlie, Josh Hutcherson as Dylan, Odessa A’zion as Tallulah and True Whitaker as Alani, with guest stars including Leighton Meester, Moses Ingram, Lauren Holt, Elijah Wood, Quenlin Blackwell, Josh Brener, Tim Baltz, Froy Gutierrez and Colin Woodell.
Along with Sennott, “I Love LA” is executive produced by Emma Barrie, Aida Rodgers, Max Silvestri and Lorene Scafaria. Sennott and Scafaria also serve as directors alongside Bill Benz and Kevin Bray.
“I Love LA” is the Sennott’s first credit as a creator. She is best known for executive producing and starring in the Emma Seligman-directed films “Shiva Baby” (2020) and “Bottoms” (2023), serving as co-writer on the latter. She has also appeared in the films “Bodies Bodies Bodies” (2022) and “I Used to Be Funny” (2024) as well as Sam Levinson’s 2023 HBO drama “The Idol.”
