On Monday, the bounce icon announced her LP <em>Pressing Onward<\/em>, and shared its track list, which includes collaborations with Billy Porter and Tamar Braxton.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cThis album started as a message of healing for the world \u2014 but now, it\u2019s me who\u2019s holding on to the music for strength,\u201d Freedia wrote on Instagram about the LP, which drops Aug. 8. \u201cI\u2019ve poured my heart into every beat, every word, I\u2019m leaning on the love of my family, friends and fans to keep me moving forward.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThe album title, Freedia wrote, is also a tribute to her late partner Devon, who died recently. \u201cLosing my partner Devon so suddenly changed everything,\u201d Freedia said. \u201cThis album started as a message of healing for the world\u2014but now, it\u2019s me who\u2019s holding on to the music for strength.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThe upcoming album will feature 14 songs, including tracks titled \u201cAll I Need,\u201d \u201cPew,\u201d \u201cLet It Rain,\u201d and \u201cPraise Dance.\u201d The LP also features \u201cHoly Shuffle\u201d with Billy Porter and \u201cSunday Best\u201d featuring Tamar Braxton.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cI\u2019ve been waiting my whole career to make this album,\u201d said Big Freedia in a press release. \u201cThe church always spoke to me: the drama, the choir, and the attire. We are in uncertain times, I\u2019m hoping fans can get some faith and hope from this album.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThe musician led the LP with \u201cTake My Hand\u201d back in March. Freedia previously\u00a0described\u00a0the era of music as \u201ctaking it back to my roots.\u201d She grew up being the choir director of her high school and home church in New Orleans.
