He taught me the values of attention to detail and consistency in dealing with offenders.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-1s160rg\">In return, I persuaded him to play for the Nottingham probation officers\u2019 football team against the young monks based at Kelham Hall, near Newark.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-1s160rg\">We won 1-0.
