Jeremy Clarkson says he is officially in remission from prostate cancer, less than a week after revealing he had an \u201caggressive\u201d form of the disease in the final episodes of Clarkson\u2019s Farm\u2019s fifth season, which were filmed in 2025.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am without a doubt, officially, the world\u2019s luckiest man,\u201d said the former Top Gear presenter in an interview with the Sunday Times.<\/p>\n
Clarkson told the paper he had a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test two months ago, which showed no indication of cancer. \u201cIt was an aggressive type of cancer. It could have spread, it could have gone into the pancreas, it could have gone anywhere, and that would have been trouble.\u201d<\/p>\n
The 66-year-old posted two videos to Instagram over the weekend, in which he said season six of Clarkson\u2019s Farm is in production and that \u201cthe more observant among you will have noticed that I am not dead\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m not just not dead, I\u2019m perfectly fine,\u201d he said on social media. \u201cAnd the reason why I am fine is because the doctors caught the prostate cancer early, and they caught it early because I got tested.\u201d<\/p>\n
In the video, Clarkson continued to urge others to get tested, saying the procedure is \u201cjust a blood test these days\u201d.<\/p>\n
Clarkson tole the Times he will continue to have regular blood tests to monitor his health and he is aware the cancer could return. \u201cI try to be positive. I\u2019ve decided to be one of the 60% who doesn\u2019t have a recurrence,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf there\u2019s just one person, a single person in the world, who watches Clarkson\u2019s Farm and thinks, you know what, I\u2019m gonna get myself checked, and discovers it early, and it\u2019s treated, and they lead a normal life, then it\u2019s worth being an illness bore.\u201d<\/p>\n
In the final two episodes of season five of Clarkson\u2019s Farm, Clarkson said he had undergone an operation to remove 10% of his prostate, eight months after he had undergone heart surgery for blocked coronary arteries. \u201cThe prostate, 10% of it\u2019s dead,\u201d he said on the program.<\/p>\n
Shortly after the show\u2019s release, charity Prostate Cancer UK said Clarkson\u2019s diagnosis and treatment would raise \u201cvital awareness\u201d.<\/p>\n
