At worst, it\u2019s financially crippling.\u201d \u201cThe problem for many people is they got to put gas in the car. They have to pay for childcare. They have current expenses that they need to do to get to work, and not having a paycheck coming in at the time you\u2019re working is a problem for many people.\u201d \u201cWe\u2019re doing our job at T.S.A. trying to keep the traveling public safe. And I want the people in power to do their job and make the decisions that need to be made.\u201d \u201cThe last one was very difficult for many people. They actually set up food shelves in the airport.\u201d \u201cIt\u2019s definitely going to be hard on people. It could be the last straw for some folks. Some people said during the last shutdown, if this lasts longer than X amount of days, I\u2019m going to quit.\u201d<\/p>\n After funding for the Department of Homeland Security lapsed on Saturday, Transportation Security Administration employees expressed frustration at being forced to work without pay.
