The late musician’s oldest son spoke about learning just how much the Prince of Darkness meant to people in an interview on his half-brother Jack’s podcast<\/p>\n
\n\tOzzy Osbourne\u2019s eldest son, Louis Osbourne, described the \u201chumbling\u201d sensation of seeing so many fans turn out to celebrate and mourn his father after the metal legend\u2019s death earlier this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\n\tIn a rare interview on his half-brother Jack\u2019s Trying Not to Die<\/em> podcast Tuesday (Nov. 18), Louis said he was stunned at how many people attended the funeral procession in Osbourne\u2019s hometown of Birmingham, England. Louis, who still lives in Birmingham, said he expected the crowd to be \u201ctwo or three people deep\u201d on the main drag leading to the Black Sabbath bridge.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cAs we came towards the street and turned onto the street \u2014 I\u2019m getting goosebumps thinking about it now, it was fucking insane!\u201d Louis said. \u201cPeople climbing up lampposts, hanging out of windows, standing on top of bus stops to get a look at it. It was awe-inspiring.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tHe added, \u201cI knew people loved him, but I didn\u2019t have a sense of how many and how much. It\u2019s been quite humbling in many, many ways.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tOn top of all that, Louis said he\u2019d also come to better understand the massive \u201ccultural impact\u201d Osbourne had. He stressed that he wasn\u2019t taking his father\u2019s fame and success \u201cfor granted,\u201d prompting Jack to note, \u201cIt\u2019s just when you\u2019re in it, you don\u2019t see it\u2026 It\u2019s just dad.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \t\tTrending Stories<\/p>\n<\/h2>\n \n\tLouis said he felt something similar at the \u201cBack to the Beginning\u201d farewell concert, as he watched all the musicians who\u2019d shown up to honor Osbourne pay their respects to the Prince of Darkness backstage.
