\n\tDakota Johnson tried out a new side gig on Friday night, serving as moderator for a Bugonia <\/em>conversation with Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons and director Yorgos Lanthimos \u2014 while also teasingly suggesting herself for the filmmaker\u2019s next project. <\/p>\n \n\tJohnson said she had seen Bugonia<\/em> \u2014 which follows two conspiracy-obsessed men who kidnap a major CEO when they become convinced that she\u2019s an alien who wants to destroy Earth \u2014 twice in the past 24 hours, but repeatedly told the crowd that she was \u201cthe wrong person\u201d to be moderating. \u201cThis is not going to be a good interview. I just want you guys to be aware I\u2019m not good at this. I don\u2019t know why I was asked but here we are,\u201d she said to laughs. <\/p>\n \n\tAs Johnson weeded through questions on her phone, she brought up the fact that this is Lanthimos\u2019 fourth film with Stone, following The Favourite<\/em>, Poor Things<\/em> and Kinds of Kindness<\/em>. \u201cAre you aware that there are other actresses, that are really talented, maybe even very close by?\u201d she joked, as Stone chimed in, \u201cWhat! No, right?,\u201d while looking at the filmmaker. She turned back to Johnson and said, \u201cNo, go for it, do your pitch, work on your pitch.\u201d The Materialists<\/em> star admitted, \u201cI already did and it didn\u2019t work, remember? You were there,\u201d as Stone laughed. <\/p>\n Johnson also praised Stone for shaving her head for the film and noted how she is covered in skin cream or blood for the majority of the movie. \u201cWho on Earth looks so beautiful with a shaved head covered in blood?\u201d she mused, while Stone joked back, \u201cYou\u2019re flirting.\u201d <\/p>\n \n\tPlemons also spoke about his own hair journey, as he wore extensions to play his conspiracy theorist character. \u201cHair was a big thing, the losing of the hair and then the gaining of the hair \u2014 there was a while there where when I first got any extensions in, I would come up to Yorgos and was maybe like experimenting with some of the physicality and every time he would see me, he would just laugh,\u201d the actor remembered. \u201cI was like, I don\u2019t know if this is good?\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tLater in the chat, Stone commented on the film\u2019s big twist ending, noting how \u201cI had never played a character that I thought about the audience seeing it for the second time before. Would it still make sense? Would it be able to track through if you were watching the film again, knowing what you know \u2014 like I did after reading the script for the first time \u2014 and have more to give or be interesting in some way? I don\u2019t know that that was effective, but it was a really fun challenge.\u201d <\/p>\n \n\tJohnson closed out the conversation by declaring, \u201cI regret doing this. I\u2019ll never do it again. [Stone] warned me, but I had said yes already. Is there anything you guys would like to say before this terrible interview is over?\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tPlemons insisted, \u201cIt really hasn\u2019t been that bad,\u201d as Lanthimos teased, \u201cI think you\u2019re the third best moderator that we\u2019ve had,\u201d on a night when they were doing several chats.
