Late-night hosts spoke about Donald Trump\u2019s trip to Asia and how he refuses to accept criticism while also reacting to ex-prince Andrew being stripped of his royal title.<\/p>\n
On the Late Show, Stephen Colbert spoke about Trump\u2019s recent trip to parts of Asia, including South Korea where he negotiated tariffs with Xi Jinping, China\u2019s president.<\/p>\n
Colbert played awkward footage of the two in front of cameras, adding that he was \u201cnot confident we\u2019re gonna win this one\u201d.<\/p>\n
The talks ended up with both sides agreeing to what amounted to a pre-tariff status quo yet Trump has been \u201ctelling everyone he won the negotiations big time\u201d saying that he would rank the meeting as a 12 out of 10.<\/p>\n
Colbert joked that he \u201cmust have been insufferable as a teenager\u201d telling friends he went to 14th base with girls which means \u201cover the bra, under the hat\u201d.<\/p>\n
This week also saw Kash Patel, the FBI director, take the FBI\u2019s private jet to go on a date, \u201ca stunning ethical violation\u201d that saw him take his 26-year-old girlfriend to a wrestling match which was part of an unscripted wrestling league founded by Hulk Hogan.<\/p>\n
He remarked that it \u201cdoes not sound like the most romantic date\u201d.<\/p>\n
Colbert said that there are \u201cmany signs that America has hit a bit of a rough patch\u201d but this week the country hit \u201crock bottom\u201d with the announcement that viral teen slang 6-7 has become 2025\u2019s word of the year, according to Dictionary.com.<\/p>\n
He said the \u201cword of the year has to be a word\u201d and joked that it was like the time that Playboy announced its playmate of the year as 8.<\/p>\n
Reportedly, schoolteachers begged those at Dictionary.com not to make it the word of the year but Colbert added: \u201cDon\u2019t worry teachers if anything will kill this trend it\u2019s being mentioned here on CBS.\u201d<\/p>\n
He moved on to ex-prince Andrew, \u201cthe guy who used to hang out with Jeffrey Epstein who\u2019s not Donald Trump\u201d who has just been stripped of his royal title.<\/p>\n
Colbert spoke about the controversial email that was the \u201croyal straw that broke the peasant\u2019s back\u201d adding that \u201cmaybe men shouldn\u2019t have friends\u201d.<\/p>\n
He joked that his new title will be \u201cpervert formerly known as prince\u201d.<\/p>\n
On Jimmy Kimmel Live! the host spoke about Halloween at the White House, which saw Trump give children candy as well as Be Best postcards. \u201cI didn\u2019t know Be Best was still a thing,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Kimmel also spoke about his trip to parts of Asia, joking that \u201che avoided Vietnam just for old time\u2019s sake\u201d.<\/p>\n
Trump has also been testing nuclear weapons again which Kimmel claimed was a response to him losing the Nobel peace prize as next time he is \u201cgonna take it by force\u201d.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s now been a month of government shutdown which has led to infighting within the Republican party such as vocal anger from Marjorie Taylor Greene, a surprise to many.<\/p>\n
Kimmel said she was someone \u201cwho didn\u2019t just drink the Kool-Aid, she chugged it\u201d. He joked that \u201csometimes you go so far right you come out on the other side\u201d.<\/p>\n
Her annoyance over the situation and with some of Trump\u2019s decisions has led to pushback from Ted Cruz. \u201cIt feels like Jurassic Park when the velociraptors turn on the guys running the place,\u201d Kimmel said.<\/p>\n
He also added that Cruz \u201ccan go trick or treating without a mask\u201d.<\/p>\n
On Late Night, Seth Meyers also spoke about Trump\u2019s trip to parts of Asia, which rightwing media has branded \u201ca resounding success\u201d.<\/p>\n
He played a clip of a Fox News pundit complimenting his handshake with Xi Jinping, saying it clearly showed who owned the room.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo one in American history has been worse at handshakes than Donald Trump,\u201d Meyers said in response, noting that there is an entire Wikipedia article titled Donald Trump and handshakes.<\/p>\n
After Chuck Schumer called the trip \u201ca total dud\u201d, Trump claimed it was \u201calmost treasonous\u201d to use such words. Meyers joked that \u201cthe real treason is when your detractors get sassy\u201d.<\/p>\n
