\n\tBritish sci-fi comedy feature Time Travel Is Dangerous<\/em> is set to slide into theaters. <\/p>\n \n\tLevel 33 Entertainment has acquired distribution rights in the U.S. and Canada for director Chris Reading\u2019s mockumentary film and will release it in select theaters and via VOD on Nov. 21, The Hollywood Reporter<\/em> has exclusively learned. Real-life best friends and vintage shop owners Ruth Syratt and Megan Stevenson star in the film that features Stephen Fry as the narrator. <\/p>\n \n\tJohnny Vegas\u00a0(Benidorm<\/em>),\u00a0Sophie Thompson\u00a0(Four Weddings and a Funeral<\/em>),\u00a0Mark Heap\u00a0(Spaced<\/em>),\u00a0Jane Horrocks\u00a0(Little Voice<\/em>) and\u00a0Tom Lenk\u00a0(Buffy the Vampire Slayer<\/em>) round out the comedy\u2019s cast.<\/p>\n \n\tTime Travel Is Dangerous<\/em> centers on Ruth and Megan, who happen upon a time machine and realize that it will help them to acquire items from the past for their vintage shop.<\/p>\n \n\tReading helmed the movie from a script he co-wrote with Anna-Elizabeth Shakespeare and Hillary Shakespeare. All three serve as producers.<\/p>\n \n\tTime Travel Is Dangerous<\/em> premiered at the 2024 Austin Film Festival and had a theatrical run earlier this year in the U.K. <\/p>\n \n\t\u201cWe\u2019re really excited to bring our bonkers British sense of humor to a wide American audience,\u201d the film\u2019s creative team says in a statement. \u201cWe\u2019ve been to a lot of U.S. festivals where we\u2019ve actually found the audiences to laugh the hardest.
