\n\tOn this week\u2019s episode of \u201cThe Daily Show,\u201d Jon Stewart went after Fox News for their wishy-washy reaction to Saturday\u2019s No Kings protests.<\/p>\n
\n\tStewart opened the monologue with clips of House Speaker Mike Johnson calling the No Kings protests the \u201chate America rally,\u201d and U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent calling participants \u201cthe farthest left, the hardest core, the most unhinged in the Democratic party.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\t\u201cNot the hardest core! I expected partial Marxism and hard core, but not full display hardest core ha-Marxism,\u201d Stewart joked. \u201cIt was going to be like \u2018Mad Max\u2019 out there with Chuck Schumer on flaming guitar!\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\tHe added, \u201cSo, this weekend, we sat in our bunkers, doors locked, windows boarded, muskets and cyanide pills at the ready, prepared for whatever the hardest core had in store. Do your worst, display your Marxism to its fullest!\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\tStewart then cut to CNN\u2019s report, which claimed that about 7 million people participated in the nationwide demonstration, and that the protests were \u201clargely peaceful\u201d and \u201coften joyful.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\t\u201cIt was kind of an incredible turnout that was somewhat inspiring. 7 million Americans, zero mass shootings?\u201d Stewart said. \u201cI look forward to Republicans apologizing sincerely for implying these Americans were\u2026 what\u2019s the word I\u2019m looking for? Deplorable!\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\tBack on Fox News, anchors were calling participants, \u201csilly\u201d and \u201cdumb.\u201d One commentator said because of all the \u201cabsurdist costumes,\u201d the protests \u201cdon\u2019t look serious.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\t\u201cMake up your mind, Fox,\u201d Stewart said. \u201cYou complained it would be a terrifyingly \u2018shit your pants\u2019 protest, and now you are complaining about how boringly unpants-shitting it was? Although there was one nit you picked that really felt off brand.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\tStewart then targeted another Fox News complaint, which was the No Kings protests were comprised of mostly \u201cold white people.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\t\u201cExtra extra, this read all about it! \u2018This country has too many angry old white people,\u2019 says \u2014 hold on \u2014 Fox News,\u201d Stewart joked. \u201cFox News says, \u2018Why are old white people so angry?\u2019 Fox News, mad that there are so many old white people in America.\u201d<\/p>\n
