They\u2019ve wanted a ballroom for 150 years, and I\u2019m giving that honor to this wonderful place. I think we should do it. This was the ballroom. And this room holds 88 people. And the new one will hold 999 people, which is a difference. I say 999 because I don\u2019t want to crack 1,000. I didn\u2019t want people to get concerned because that\u2019s getting big. But we\u2019re going to have, we\u2019ll have the most beautiful ballroom in the country.<\/p>\n The planned 90,000-square-foot ballroom now under construction off the back of the East Wing is nearly double the square footage of the White House residence.
