\n\tAfter working together on the ghost story Presence<\/em>, Neon has acquired the latest film from Steven Soderbergh, The Christophers<\/em>. The feature made its premiere at this year\u2019s Toronto International Film Festival.<\/p>\n \n\tThe script comes from Men in Black\u00a0<\/em>writer Ed Solomon and stars Michaela Coel and Ian McKellen, along with Jessica Gunning and James Corden. The Christophers<\/em> sees the estranged relatives (Gunning, Corden) of a famous artist (McKellen) enlist the help of a struggling artist (Coel) to steal and complete the artist\u2019s unfinished works.<\/p>\n \n\tReads The Hollywood Reporter<\/em>\u2019s review of the film: \u201cThroughout his prolific 40-year career, Soderbergh has proven himself a great director of actors, evident here in every moment McKellen or Coel are onscreen, and doubly so when they share scenes.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tNeon will release the film theatrically in the U.S. in 2026 and will also represent the international sales rights.<\/p>\n \n\tProduced and financed by Department M, The Christophers was produced by Department M\u2019s Mike Larocca and Michael Schaefer, along with Jim Parks and Iain A. Canning.
