\n\tJosh Goldstine has officially joined Paramount Pictures as president of global marketing and distribution.<\/p>\n
\n\tHis appointment has been rumored since September when Marc Weinstock exited his role as marketing chief amid the executive shakeup surrounding the company\u2019s merger with Skydance. Goldstine starts on Wednesday and will report to film bosses Josh Greenstein and Dana Goldberg.<\/p>\n
\n\t\u201cOver his career, Josh has led marketing for franchise cornerstones and breakout originals,\u201d Greenstein and Goldberg wrote in a note to staff. \u201cHe brings a sharp strategic lens to positioning, creative advertising, media, publicity, partnerships, analytics, strategy & research, creative content, and now, theatrical distribution.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\tBest known for orchestrating the\u00a0pink publicity machine of \u201cBarbie,\u201d Goldstine spent four years as president of worldwide marketing at Warner Bros. where he also oversaw the promotional efforts for commercial hits like\u00a0\u201cDune,\u201d \u201cThe Batman,\u201d \u201cBeetlejuice Beetlejuice\u201d and \u201cWonka.\u201d He spent seven years at Universal Pictures, working on such films as \u201cFast & Furious,\u201d \u201cDespicable Me,\u201d \u201cGet Out\u201d and \u201cFifty Shades of Grey.\u201d Earlier in his career, Goldstine was at Sony Pictures for two decades as president of creative advertising.
