\n\tThe series, which shot in Arabic and Hebrew language, revolves around a boy whose memories of another life help solve a murder mystery.\u00a0It\u2019s directed by Adam Sanderson (\u201cAbsentia\u201d) and produced by Yoav Gross Productions for the channel Keshet 12 which will broadcast the series on primetime in October. <\/p>\n
\n\t\u201cMemories of a past life \u2013 or reincarnation \u2013 is a phenomenon found across many societies, spanning countless religious, spiritual, and cultural traditions,\u201d said Kelly Wright, Keshet International\u2019s head of distribution. She says the show has a \u201cglobal resonance\u201d because \u201cmore than two billion people around the world may relate to the concept in some way.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\t\u201cFor many, it\u2019s a system of cosmic justice; for others, a source of comfort and hope beyond death,\u201d she said, adding that in \u201cNutuk,\u201d \u201creincarnation serves as the emotional and narrative engine that drives a suspenseful investigation story.\u201d Keshet International will introduce the series to buyers at Mipcom. <\/p>\n
\n\t\u201cNutuk\u201d is led by a cast comprising Jude Khatib, a newcomer who plays the main role, and stars alongside Lucy Ayoub (\u201cFauda\u201d), Amgad Badr (\u201cFauda\u201d), Nahd Basheir and Suliman Khiradin.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\n\tKhatib stars as seven-year-old Daniel who starts having visions that his parents attribute to a childlike fantasy. But when Daniel begins to have more and more visions of what appears to be vivid memories of past lives, his parents understand that their son may be undergoing \u201cnutuk\u201d \u2013 meaning \u201creincarnation\u201d in the Druze community. Daniel\u2019s visions point to the unsolved disappearance of a man named Ali Khiradin which he believes was murdered. The Fares family dives into a criminal conspiracy that the perpetrators have tried to keep buried for years \u2013 and will stop at nothing to protect.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\n\tKarni Ziv, Keshet 12\u2019s head of drama and comedy said the network was \u201cdedicated to telling stories that reflect the rich diversity of our small nation.\u201d <\/p>\n
\n\t\u201cIn \u2018Nutuk,\u2019 the Druze community\u2019s deeply spiritual\u2014and often hidden\u2014theology around reincarnation is brought to life with a sense of mystery and reverence,\u201d Ziv continued. \n\tKhatib plays seven-year-old son Daniel who stars having visions which his parents initially dismiss as childlike fantasies. <\/p>\n
