I have no idea who the frontrunner is.<\/p>\n \n\tLeading early predictions are Emily Blunt for \u201cThe Smashing Machine,\u201d with the A24 drama positioning her as a viable contender coming after her \u201cOppenheimer\u201d (2023) nom. Also in the mix is last year\u2019s nominee, Ariana Grande, whose performance as Glinda in \u201cWicked: For Good\u201d continues to gain popularity, with more positive early praise circulating as Universal\u2019s musical juggernaut builds momentum toward its November release.<\/p>\n \n\tThe category features several veteran performers seeking recognition. Believe it or not, Glenn Close could return to awards contention with Netflix\u2019s \u201cWake Up Dead Man,\u201d the latest installment in the \u201cKnives Out\u201d franchise. Gwyneth Paltrow emerges as a potential contender with A24\u2019s \u201cMarty Supreme,\u201d marking her return to serious dramatic work after years focused on her lifestyle ventures.<\/p>\n \n\tWarner Bros. will surely have to juggle multiple candidates with Hailee Steinfeld and Wunmi Mosaku from \u201cSinners\u201d and the trio of Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor and Chase Infiniti from \u201cOne Battle After Another.\u201d The studio is planning aggressive campaigns across all categories for the Paul Thomas Anderson epic.
