Speaking to <em>New Yorker\u00a0<\/em>editor David Remnick during a recent episode of\u00a0<em>The New Yorker Radio Hour<\/em>\u00a0podcast, Wintour reflected on the comparisons between her and Meryl Streep\u2018s Miranda Priestley.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tRemnick asked Wintour if she was hurt by the portrayal. \u201cWell, I went to the premiere, wearing Prada, completely having no idea what the film was going to be about,\u201d Wintour responded. \u201cAnd I think that the fashion industry were very sweetly concerned for me about the film, that it was going to paint me in some kind of difficult light.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cCartoonish?\u201d Remnick asked. \u201cYes, a caricature,\u201d Wintour agreed. \u201cBut, first of all, it was\u00a0Meryl Streep, which, fantastic. And then I went to see the film and I found it highly enjoyable and very funny. Miuccia [Prada] and I talk about it a lot, and I say to her, \u2018Well it was really good for you.\u2019 And you can imagine what she says back.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tShe added, \u201cListen, it had a lot of humor to it. It had a lot of wit. It had Meryl Streep. I mean, it was Emily Blunt. I mean, they were all amazing.
