\n\tThe red carpet preshow for\u00a0MTV\u2018s\u00a02025 Video Music\u00a0Awards\u00a0has officially kicked off.<\/p>\n
\n\tAhead of the one-hour preshow special, hosted by Nessa and Kevan Kenney, on Sunday, Sept. 7, at 7 p.m. ET\/4 p.m. PT, stars have already started walking the red carpet. The preshow is airing live on MTV and BET, BET Her, Comedy Central, CMT, Logo, MTV2, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, Pop, TV Land and VH1. There will also be a special performance by girl group and first-time nominees KATSEYE, who will be performing \u201cGnarly\u201d and \u201cGabriela\u201d from their\u00a0Beautiful Chaos<\/em>\u00a0EP.<\/p>\n \n\tWatch a livestream of the preshow below, and continue to\u00a0follow\u00a0The Hollywood Reporter<\/em>\u00a0throughout the night to see which artists are taking home an MTV \u201cMoon Person\u201d trophy.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \n\tAs for this year\u2019s nominees, Lady Gaga leads the pack with 12 nominations, including for video of the year (for \u201cDie With a Smile\u201d), artist of the year and album of the year for\u00a0Mayhem<\/em>. Bruno Mars\u00a0also has 11 noms, followed by Kendrick Lamar with 10. <\/p>\n \n\tLamar\u2019s \u201cNot Like Us\u201d will also compete for the top prize, video of the year, alongside Gaga and Mars\u2019 \u201cDie With a Smile,\u201d Ros\u00e9 and Mars\u2019 \u201cAPT.,\u201d Ariana Grande\u2019s \u201cBrighter Days Ahead,\u201d Billie Eilish\u2019s \u201cBirds of a Feather,\u201d\u00a0Sabrina Carpenter\u2019s \u201cManchild\u201d and The Weeknd and Playboy Carti\u2019s \u201cTimeless.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe awards show will feature performances throughout the night from Gaga, Carpenter, Sombr,\u00a0Alex Warren, J Balvin\u00a0featuring DJ Snake, Doja Cat,\u00a0Jelly Roll,\u00a0Post Malone,\u00a0Tate McRae\u00a0and Conan Gray.<\/p>\n \n\tPresenters also include Ashlee Simpson Ross, Brittany Snow, Ciara, KPop Demon Hunters\u2019<\/em> Huntrix (Audrey Nuna, EJAE and Rei Ami), Ice Spice, Jessica Simpson, Latto, Livvy Dunne, Malin Ackerman, Meg Stalter, Nikki Glaser and Paris Hilton.<\/p>\n \n\tThe 2025 VMAs, hosted by LL COOL J, will air live beginning at 8 p.m. ET\/5 p.m. PT from Long Island\u2019s UBS Arena on Sept. 7.
