But we will also need to grow into the season, so we also said to the players: \u2018Not everything will be perfect on Friday.\u2019 We will definitely be ready for the game but we also need to have a little bit of patience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Share<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"dcr-1wl2b6o\">Preamble<\/h2>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">The WSL is back, folks! And with English football bathing in a post-Euros glow for the second time in three years, the level of excitement and anticipation are probably unprecedented. There are new managers, returning superstars, record signings \u2013 and a team of serial winners who want to reign on the parade.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">Chelsea are aiming for a seventh straight WSL title, having rampaged to a domestic treble last season. Arsenal\u2019s Champions League triumph will have hurt them for several reasons but in England they remain nigh-on invincible.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">The first team tasked with stopping them are Manchester City, who are starting afresh under Andr\u00e9e Jeglertz after a forgettable 2024-25 campaign.
