Backhanded comments<br \/>clamor for attention. The egg timer is on, ticking until<br \/>another fight breaks. As time ticks, the first escape,<\/p>\n<p class=\"ArticleParagraph_root__4mszW\" data-flatplan-paragraph=\"true\">a splash, goes undetected. The girl descends to where<br \/>light stops reflecting secrets tanning beneath the sun.<br \/>She falls away from shadows pointing fingers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ArticleParagraph_root__4mszW\" data-flatplan-paragraph=\"true\">Tension subsides and the faces fade. She sinks deeper<br \/>into the black pupil of a blue iris. Perhaps she will find<br \/>a god hidden in an oyster at the bottom.
