I\u2019m grateful to\u00a0Taylor Swift\u00a0for bringing this conversation to light and empowering artists to take back control over their work, their stories, and their futures.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tPlatten said that original <em>Wildfire <\/em>producer Jon Levine worked with her for the re-recorded versions, which will officially be released on Sept. 26.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cMost importantly, thank you to all of you, who have stood by me over these years,\u201d Platten wrote on Monday. \u201cI can\u2019t wait for you to hear them again \u2014 this time, fully, completely, and unapologetically mine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tPlatten also announced a concert to celebrate \u201cFight Song\u2019s\u201d 10-year anniversary, with the show taking place Oct. 16 in Irving Plaza in New York.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tAs Platten suggested in her post, Swift\u2019s decision to record her now-iconic \u201cTaylor\u2019s<em> <\/em>Versions\u201d of albums from her days at Big Machine Records had brought renewed attention to the importance of artists owning their masters. Swift managed to buy the rights to her original albums earlier this year. Swift herself acknowledged during her appearance on <em>New Heights<\/em><em> <\/em>earlier this month that master ownership wasn\u2019t often discussed among fans before she made her stand, calling it an \u201cindustry-centric conversation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cOne thing I think is really great that has come about because of this,\u201d Swift told Travis and Jason Kelce, \u201cis that I have so many new artists come up to me now and say, \u2018Hey I didn\u2019t even know this was a thing, and when I went to negotiate for my record deal, I negotiated to have my masters revert back to me after a certain number of years.\u2019 It\u2019s not for everyone. Not everyone cares about this.
