Of course, if that were true, we\u2019d know what the Epstein files say about the president and others who were close with the billionaire who trafficked underage girls. <\/p>\n
\n\tInstead, the administration \u2014 through Vance \u2014 is trying to distract Americans from focusing on Trump\u2019s relationship with Epstein and is instead pointing the finger at \u201cleft-wing politicians and left-wing billionaires.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe know that Jeffrey Epstein had a lot connections with left-wing politicians and left-wing billionaires,\u201d Vance said in an interview with Maria Bartiromo that aired Sunday on Fox News, \u201cand now President Trump has demanded full transparency from this, and yet somehow the Democrats are attacking him and not the Biden administration which did nothing for four years.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\tFar from demanding \u201cfull transparency,\u201d Trump and his administration have evaded calls to release the contents of the files. Although Attorney General Pam Bondi claimed that Epstein\u2019s infamous client list was \u201csitting on my desk right now to review\u201d in February of this year, last month, the DOJ released a memo stating that after an \u201cexhaustive review,\u201d officials decided there was no evidence of an \u201cincriminating \u2018client list.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\tHence, the administration\u2019s PR policy of distract and deflect. <\/p>\n
\n\t\u201cDemocrat billionaires and Democrat political leaders went to Epstein island all the time,\u201d Vance accused on Fox News. \u201cWho knows what they did.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\tIt\u2019s true that Epstein had ties to former president Bill Clinton and billionaire Bill Gates as well as former British prime minister Tony Blair and Prince Andrew. In 2019, after Epstein was arrested and indicted for sex trafficking of minors and conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of minors, Clinton said through a press secretary that he \u201cknows nothing about the terrible crimes Jeffrey Epstein pleaded guilty to in Florida some years ago, or those with which he has recently [been] charged in New York.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tOne Epstein victim testified that, according to Epstein, Clinton liked \u201cyoung\u2026 girls.\u201d <\/p>\n
\n\t\u201c[Epstein] said one time that Clinton likes them young, referring to girls,\u201d Johanna Sjoberg testified in a 2016 deposition.<\/p>\n
\n\tBut there are no records of Clinton going to Epstein\u2019s private island, despite Trump\u2019s recent allegation that the former president visited the island \u201c28 times.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\tOf course, one way to clear all this up would be for Trump\u2019s administration to release the contents of the Epstein files with victims\u2019 identification redacted. But the president might not want to do that, considering his own once close relationship with Epstein and reports that he is named multiple times in the files. <\/p>\n
\n\tIn recorded conversations with author Michael Wolff, Epstein once called himself \u201cDonald\u2019s closest friend for 10 years.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\tTrump also described himself and Epstein as friendly. \u201cI\u2019ve known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy. He\u2019s a lot of fun to be with,\u201d Trump told New York Magazine<\/em> in 2002. \u201cIt is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tMaria Farmer, a former Epstein employee, even said she warned law enforcement in 1996 and 2006 about Trump and Epstein\u2019s relationship.<\/p>\n \t\tTrending Stories<\/p>\n<\/h2>\n \n\tBut by 2019 \u2014\u00a0after Epstein was arrested by the FBI \u2014 Trump claimed, \u201cI was not a fan of his, that I can tell you,\u201d and said they had not been friends for 15 years.<\/p>\n \n\tAmericans thus far are mostly not fooled by the Trump administration\u2019s ham-handed attempts to distract them from the issue.
