This is a fair point.<\/strong> Crystal Palace are used to being outsiders at Wembley, but that didn\u2019t stop them last season. Can they shut down Arne Slot\u2019s machine in the north London sun this afternoon, in the same manner they stopped Manchester City?<\/p>\n

I guess Palace are rank outsiders today. but they were back in May against Man City. Almost all of the team from then remains with the club and likely to play so we won’t be overawed. Eze and Mateta can turn a game in a matter of seconds and our defence showed that we can take on anyone (including Liverpool) and hold strong.<\/p>\n

So, as in the Cup Final, we’ll need a bit of luck. Liverpool will probably dominate possession but the game is there to be won and for the fans it’s another great day out.<\/p>\n

There are whispers Manchester United are trying to add Brighton\u2019s Carlos Baleba<\/strong> to their tranche of summer transfers. The prospect of the 21-year-old adding ballast to Ruben Amorim\u2019s midfield is an exciting one for fans and seems more than just a pipe dream.<\/p>\n

Chris Powell departed Sheffield Wednesday<\/strong> this summer after being an assistant to former head coach Danny R\u00f6hl. And the man often dubbed the nicest guy in football has now let his true feelings be known about the club and its owner Dejphon Chansiri.<\/p>\n

When this kind of stuff is going on at a club, what hope do they have of competing on the pitch? Today\u2019s game at Leicester will likely feature protests from the away fans\u2026 who knows what the football will be like from the Owls.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve said it to many people, that it\u2019s the most functional dysfunctional football club I\u2019ve ever been at,\u201d Powell told The Sports Agents podcast. \u201cParticularly the last few months from maybe from about March, when that was the first time players and staff hadn\u2019t been paid, that you just felt a little bit uneasy with what the future might entail. But we carried on.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe bought in a consultant for head of recruitment, a really, really good guy who helped out Danny and the coaching staff really well. But there\u2019s no board of directors. So the club is run by the owner, Chansiri, and there\u2019s a consultant who\u2019s sort of his link and a club secretary. That\u2019s it.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s no one to ring. There\u2019s no one to speak to. Now, it all falls on the shoulders of maybe the club secretary, and that\u2019s very difficult for her. I mean, basically, people will get an email saying: \u2018We know times are hard. It\u2019s very difficult. We\u2019re trying to resolve the situation.\u2019 But that\u2019s it.\u201d<\/p>\n
