\n\tBill Hader joked about the numerous afflictions and anxiety-induced maladies he suffered\u00a0while a cast member\u00a0on\u00a0Saturday Night Live<\/em>\u00a0during a new interview with his old coworker, Seth Meyers, on\u00a0Late Nigh<\/em><\/span>t. <\/p>\n \n\tHader has spoken before about how anxious he was during his time on the show, and this was ostensibly part of the reason he chose not to participate in the SNL 50 <\/em>special earlier this year. While a rep also said he had a \u201clongstanding scheduling conflict,\u201d Hader did reveal on Late Night <\/em>that he declined Andy Samberg\u2019s offer to be in a pre-taped digital short about SNL<\/em>-related anxiety for a very simple reason: \u201cBecause I\u2019m anxious.\u201d\u00a0 <\/p>\n<\/p>\n \n\tDespite the challenges he endured, Hader maintained his sense of humor about his time on SNL<\/em>, laughing as Meyers joked, \u201cThe top 10 weirdest things that happened to any cast member I ever worked with were all Bill Hader. It\u2019s like, if you look at who led the NBA in scoring in the Nineties, it\u2019s Michael Jordan, Michael Jordan, Michael Jordan. That\u2019s you.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tFor instance, Hader said he frequently got (and still gets) severe migraines. During his first season in 2006, one came on as he was preparing to go out for an \u201cAppalachian Emergency Room\u201d sketch that also featured Jason Sudeikis and cameos from Johnny Knoxville and musical guest Neil Young.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cWe\u2019re backstage and I\u2019m really anxious, I\u2019m muttering to myself, like freaking out,\u201d Hader recalled. \u201cAnd then my vision goes. I get aura \u2014 I don\u2019t know if anybody has ever had migraine aura, where suddenly it\u2019s like you can\u2019t see anything. And of course, we\u2019re dressed as these two weird hillbillies, and I had a dart through my hand. And you\u2019re backstage with Johnny Knoxville and Neil Young.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tHader said he remarked out loud, \u201cI can\u2019t see,\u201d then joked that Young replied, \u201cOh no! Hey, that\u2019s too bad!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \t\tTrending Stories<\/p>\n<\/h2>\n \n\tDespite being far away from SNL<\/em>, Hader said he still suffers from severe migraines and had one so bad just last week that he had to get an IV fluid. He also just went through a bout of shingles, another malady brought on by stress. And earlier this year, he missed the Golden Globes because, as he put it with a laugh, \u201cMy eye exploded.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tHader continued: \u201cI have vasculitis in the retina of my eye, and I lost vision in my eye.
