\n\tJames Gunn may be the head of DC Studios, but there\u2019s another public personality who has quite the admiration for one title in the company\u2019s film slate.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\n\tSocial media star Trisha Paytas made headlines last week after revealing that her third child\u2019s name is Aquaman. Her son\u2019s full name is Aquaman Moses Paytas-Hacmon, and the influencer explained on an episode of her popular Just Trish<\/em> podcast that she chose the name after being a big fan of the comics and the accompanying movie, which starred Jason Momoa.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tAt Comic-Con, Gunn told Entertainment Tonight<\/em> he had seen Paytas\u2019 unique name for her baby, and admitted that he thinks it\u2019s \u201ccool.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI saw that, yes. I think that\u2019s cool,\u201d the Superman<\/em> director said. \u201cI mean, I hope he does OK in school. I had a hard time with the last name Gunn, [being called] like Tommy Gunn, BB gun, ray gun, I\u2019m like, OK, we get it. Is the middle name Gary or something?\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe writer-director further questioned if Paytas was planning on giving him a nickname. \u201cI mean, are they going to call him AQ? What are they going to call him?\u201d he asked. \u201cWon\u2019t he get made fun of in school? Do kids make fun of kids anymore?\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tWhen Paytas, who got her start on YouTube in the early 2010s through her unique \u2014 and controversial \u2014 content style, announced her son\u2019s name last Tuesday, she admitted that she\u2019s been a long-time Aquaman fan.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI\u2019ve been wearing Aquaman t-shirts for years,\u201d she said on Just Trish<\/em>. \u201cI\u2019ve gone to so many Comic-Con\u2019s for Aquaman. And I really fell in love when we rewatched Aquaman<\/em>. We watched all the Aquaman\u2019s<\/em>, I watched the cartoon. I was watching everything.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tPaytas reacted to Gunn\u2019s reaction to her child\u2019s DC-themed name during a Tuesday episode of her podcast, even noting that the director is \u201credeeming Aquaman\u201d because of the fun nickname he suggested for her son.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI think he\u2019s redeeming Aquaman because everybody in the comments was like, \u2018He gave Aquaman a nickname,\u2019 and everyone was like, \u2018Wait, that hits so hard,\u2019\u201d Paytas quipped. \u201cAnd the nickname was AQ, and I was like, wait, AQ, so hard. Which I\u2019m kind of like, OK, I\u2019ll go with it.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tDespite some backlash, Paytas is no stranger to choosing unique baby names. Her first daughter is named Malibu Barbie and her second is Elvis, whom she shares with her husband, Moses Hacmon.<\/p>\n
