\n\tThe Rockstar Lestat has entered the building. The cast and crew of \u201cAnne Rice\u2019s Interview With the Vampire\u201d took the stage at San Diego Comic-Con\u2019s Ballroom 20 to tease the AMC+ series\u2019 hotly anticipated third season.<\/p>\n
\n\tFans were given an exclusive sneak peek backstage in a new teaser featuring star Sam Reid delivering an electrifying stage performance as the vampire Lestat.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
\n\tAt the scream-filled panel, five new cast members were also revealed: Jennifer Ehle\u00a0(\u201cLioness\u201d) as Gabriella, Ella\u00a0Ballentine\u00a0(\u201cBlack Conflux\u201d) as Baby Jenks, Jeanine Serralles\u00a0(\u201cApples Never Fall\u201d) as Christine Claire, Christopher Heyerdahl\u00a0(\u201cUnder the Banner of Heaven\u201d) as Marius and Damien Atkins\u00a0(\u201cSlings & Arrows\u201d) as Magnus. It was also confirmed that fan-favorites Delainey Hayles and Assad Zaman will return to the series.<\/p>\n
\n\tThe crew unveiled three minutes of footage from the new season, including a tense conversation between Louis and Daniel concerning the now-published book, a boardroom confrontation between Louis and Lestat, and of course, lots of blood.<\/p>\n
\n\tThe panel also shed light on the new series \u201cAnne Rice\u2019s Talamasca,\u201d including its release date of Oct. 26. Eric Bogosian, who portrays investigative journalist and author of \u201cInterview With a Vampire\u201d Daniel Molloy, made a surprise reveal that he will reprise his role, guest starring as a crossover character in the new show. Screams and cheers echoed throughout the ballroom as his character appeared in screen in the brand new teaser trailer.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
\n\t\u201cDaniel has dealt with the Talamasca before,\u201d Bogosian told the crowd. \u201cThe Talamasca has been living on the edges of Daniel Malloy\u2019s consciousness, and now he\u2019s found out that the Talamasca is pulling him in deeper into their world.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\tThe crew behind \u201cInterview Wth the Vampire,\u201d including cast members Reid, Bogosian and Jacob Anderson, plus executive producer Mark Johnson and showrunner\/executive producer Rolin Jones, stopped by the\u00a0Comic-Con\u00a0Variety\u00a0<\/em>Studio presented by Google TV to tease more details of the season.<\/p>\n \n\tAssuaging fan fears that this season\u2019s POV shift towards Lestat could mean less Louis, Anderson shared, \u201cI can say that Louis is not hugely pleased with the book\u2019s existence, if that is a good tease. I\u2019m here! I\u2019m here.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cNo one should worry at all. There\u2019s way more Louis in our show than there is in the book,\u201d Jones added.<\/p>\n \n\tReid, who learned the music for the rockstar Lestat before seeing the scripts for Season 3, also spoke to his experience in combining the two puzzle pieces to form a complete picture of his character\u2019s journey. \u201cIt was deeply satisfying actually, because the songs are incredible pieces alone, but there\u2019s also a show that we shoot, and it\u2019s got story. There are scenes that exist within the performances, within the actual songs themselves. Layering Rolin\u2019s work on top of [composer Daniel Hart\u2019s] work is quite challenging. They\u2019re very different, but they both have a singular vision. Sometimes I feel like I get caught up in the middle of the whirlwind of the two of them, but I think that works perfectly for a start.
