\n\tFollowing the premiere of the second part of Billy Joel\u2019s And So It Goes<\/em> documentary, the Piano Man dropped a massive 155-song companion album on digital services featuring unreleased recordings and more.<\/p>\n \n\tNever-before-heard music from Joel\u2019s archives are peppered throughout the five-hour HBO documentary, from his early days with Long Island rockers the Hassles to his orchestral and instrumental works.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tThe seven-hour And So It Goes<\/em>, a \u201cmusical companion\u201d to the documentary, features dozens of unreleased live recordings and demo versions, including historic moments like Joel\u2019s first-ever live performance of his epic \u201cScenes From an Italian Restaurant,\u201d recorded May 6, 1977 at Long Island\u2019s C.W. Post College.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \n\tThe soundtrack also includes album tracks from the catalog, and in some cases Joel\u2019s own introductions to the songs. \u201c\u2018Big Shot\u2019 was a hangover song,\u201d Joel explained in the intro to that track. \u201cI don\u2019t know how many times I woke up in the morning realizing I was an idiot the night before, felt like hell, had a hungover.
