Unified, the producing banner founded by Amy Jackson and Lauren Dark, curates a dedicated strand within the programme \u2013 a series of one-on-one talks with senior decision-makers and creatives.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tGuests in the Unified Series include Rose Garnett, former head of Film4 and BBC Film; Eva Yates, director of BBC Film; Film4\u2019s Farhana Bhula; and Hinojosa, the Oscar-nominated producer of \u201cPast Lives\u201d and \u201cAfter This Death,\u201d which bows in the U.K. at EIFF.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tKicking off Friday, Aug. 15, Garnett opens the Unified slate, followed by a conversation with director Ben Wheatley (\u201cHigh Rise\u201d) and producer Andy Starke. Later that day, producing royalty and the always entertaining Jeremy Thomas will join filmmaker Mark Cousins for a wide-ranging dialogue, while a panel on access in filmmaking presented with Code Collaboration and Oska Bright underscores EIFF\u2019s commitment to inclusion.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tSaturday spotlights \u201cSorry, Baby\u201d \u2014 the festival\u2019s opening film \u2014 with writer-director-star Eva Victor and producer Adele Romanski (\u201cMoonlight,\u201d \u201cAftersun\u201d) in conversation. BBC Film\u2019s Yates takes the stage later that day, followed by a behind-the-scenes panel on \u201cThe Outrun,\u201d the Saoirse Ronan-starrer adapted from Amy Liptrot\u2019s memoir.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tSunday sees Romanski return for a solo session, followed by a keynote with siblings Kevin and Andrew Macdonald.
