\n\tOn the most recent Jonas Brothers LP, 2023\u2019s The Album<\/em>, the sibling trio looked back fondly on the time they spent growing up together. \u201cHeadstrong father and a d\u0435termined mother\/Oh, that\u2019s why some nights we tried to kill each other\/But you know it\u2019s always love,\u201d they sang on the single \u201cWaffle House.\u201d Now, their headstrong father, Kevin Jonas Sr., is the proud owner of The Album<\/em> after beating out competitors in a bidding war for the purchase of a portion of the Jonas Brothers catalog.<\/p>\n \n\tBillboard<\/em> reports that the investment arm of Jonas\u2019 talent management company, Jonas Group Entertainment Holdings, made the purchase. The deal included the publishing and recording rights to The Album<\/em>, Happiness Begins<\/em>, and their upcoming seventh studio album, Greetings From Your Hometown<\/em>. The sale also included the one-off singles \u201cLike It\u2019s Christmas\u201d and \u201cRemember This.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tWhile the purchase amount has not been disclosed, Jonas noted that he went for the heart in his sales pitch to his sons Joe, Nick, and Kevin. \u201cI don\u2019t know that anybody can love your music any more than I do or be any more proud of you,\u201d he told them, per Billboard<\/em>. \u201cI am not asking for less than the purchase price but for consideration of the passion I\u2019ll bring to keeping your legacy thriving.\u201d The band called the deal a \u201cfull circle\u201d moment. <\/p>\n \n\t\u201cWe are passionate about songwriting and the creative process, and Leslie DiPiero [Jonas Group Publishing president] has always been a true champion for songwriters and creators,\u201d Jonas Brothers said in a statement to the publication. \u201cWe look forward to working with her and the team.\u201d Jonas predicted collaborating with the trio will be \u201ceasy,\u201d given the familial connection, but also their history together. Jonas previously managed the group alongside Phil McIntrye.<\/p>\n \t\tTrending Stories<\/p>\n<\/h2>\n \n\tJonas Brothers are still in possession of their first four albums. Their first, 2006\u2019s It\u2019s About Time, <\/em>was released on Columbia Records, which dropped them and later surrendered the master recordings. The three albums that followed \u2014 including A Little Bit Longer <\/em>and Lines, Vines and Trying Times \u2014 <\/em>arrived via Disney\u2019s Hollywood Records. The band took their masters with them when they parted with the label in 2012.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cThis was a decision that we made as a group,\u201d Nick said at the time. \u201cNaturally, as with any partnership, when you do part ways, there is emotion tied to it. We\u2019ve been blessed to have a lot of success with Hollywood and with Disney, but speaking on behalf of my brothers and our team, we\u2019re all looking forward to this next chapter.
