\n\tZach Bryan has been called \u201cBruce Springsteen\u2018s heir\u201d \u2014\u00a0and on Sunday, the latter surprised fans at Bryan\u2019s concert in East Rutherford, New Jersey.<\/p>\n
\n\tSpringsteen took the MetLife Stadium stage in his home state to perform his own \u201cAtlantic City\u201d with Bryan. At the end of the song, the audience could be heard yelling \u201cBRUUUUUCE\u201d (not booing, as some on social media misheard).<\/p>\n
\n\tIt\u2019s not the first time they\u2019ve taken the stage together. Just last August, Springsteen surprised fans at Bryan\u2019s Philadelphia concert for a rendition of \u201cAtlantic City\u201d and \u201cSandpaper,\u201d which the two collaborated on together.<\/p>\n
\n\tOn Sunday, concertgoers got a tease of Springsteen\u2019s appearance early in the evening, when \u201cHouse of a Thousand Guitars,\u201d from his 2020 album, Letter to You<\/em>, was heard across the sound system.<\/p>\n \n\tLater in the set, Bryan brought out Caleb Followill, a member of opening band Kings of Leon, to the stage, introducing him as the \u201csweetest man I\u2019ve ever met.\u201d He then took a beat to bring on \u201cone of the greatest men to ever exist, a New Jersey native, Mr. Bruce Springsteen.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tThe band then launched into \u201cAtlantic City\u201d off Springsteen\u2019s 1982 solo album, Nebraska<\/em>, which Followill also joined in on. That era of Springsteen\u2019s music career will hit the big screen in October with the release of the film Deliver Me From Nowhere<\/em>, starring Jeremy Allen White as Springsteen. <\/p>\n \n\tSpringsteen came out again for the show\u2019s encore, Bryan\u2019s \u201cRevival.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tSunday\u2019s concert was the last of Bryan\u2019s three-night engagement in East Rutherford.<\/p>\n \n\tBryan, whose songwriting is often compared to Springsteen\u2019s, is a U.S. Navy veteran from Oklahoma who has helped usher in a new era of country music. His career took off in 2023 with his fourth album, Zach Bryan. <\/em>He released another hit album, The Great American Bar Scene,<\/em> in 2024.<\/p>\n \n\tSpringsteen recently wrapped a European tour and has been seen in and around his hometown of Freehold, New Jersey.
