He said:<\/p>\n<p>Honestly that was such a tough stage. I\u2019m so emotionless right now because I\u2019m so tired.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s beyond belief this. If you\u2019d said to me I would have the stage win and be in yellow, and beforethe rest day, I wouldn\u2019t have believed you.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-16w5gq9\">He said his tactic was just to get his head down and go. Healy then thanked his EF Education-EasyPost teammates:<\/p>\n<p>If it wasn\u2019t for the team I wouldn\u2019t be in the yellow [jersey]. Oh, <strong>Quinn Simmons<\/strong> has cracked and been dropped from the <strong>Ben Healy<\/strong> group.<\/p>\n<p>Share<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-16w5gq9\"><strong>Roland<\/strong> has emailed in and shares his thoughts on the team kits in the peloton:<\/p>\n<p>In my very humble opinion, I think the Arkea and Cofidis jerseys are possibly the best of the bunch, due to their somewhat retro look (different coloured sleeves to the torso); even if it does use the Noddy colour scheme, the Lidl-Trek jersey has something about it too.<\/p>\n<p>However, in my not at all humble opinion, no jersey can ever beat the fairly recent light blue Belgian national jerseys, although we obviously won\u2019t be seeing them until the world championships.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"dcr-1inf02i\"><\/span><span class=\"dcr-1qvd3m6\">Belgian road cyclist Wout Van Aert, Ecuadorian Richard Carapaz and Slovenian Tadej Poga\u010dar on the podium after the men\u2019s cycling road race, at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.<\/span> Photograph: REX\/Shutterstock<\/p>\n<p>I wasn\u2019t behind my computer yesterday, but after reading your coverage, I have to admit I too was shouting unrepeatable things at the peloton before the caught the very brave MVDP.<\/p>\n<p>Share<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"dcr-1wl2b6o\">The breakaway head towards the finish with a 5min 30sec gap on the peloton<\/h2>\n<p class=\"dcr-16w5gq9\"><strong>16km to go:<\/strong> The breakaway have 5mins 3osecs on the peloton. There\u2019s multiple groups on the road, which makes it so exciting. Everyone else has too much ground to make up now, and will work to consolidate second.
