He was 56.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tMcMahon died Wednesday in Clearwater, Florida, his rep David Schiff, founder of MGMT Entertainment, told <em>The Hollywood Reporter<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tMcMahon, born in Sydney on July 27, 1968, was the son of former Australian prime minister William McMahon and Lady Sonia McMahon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tHe began acting on Australian soaps <em>The Power, the Passion<\/em> as well as <em>Home and Away<\/em> and appeared on the U.S. soap <em>Another World<\/em> in 1993. He transitioned to primetime TV with a role on NBC\u2019s <em>Profiler<\/em> and spent three seasons on the WB\u2019s <em>Charmed<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tHe memorably starred alongside Dylan Walsh in Ryan Murphy\u2019s FX plastic surgery drama, <em>Nip\/Tuck<\/em>, which ran for six seasons and earned him a Golden Globe nomination for his role as Dr. Christian Troy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tOn the film side, he played Dr. Doom in Tim Story\u2019s two <em>Fantastic Four<\/em> movies, 2025\u2019s <em>Fantastic Four<\/em> and 2007\u2019s <em>Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer<\/em>. His other film credits include roles in <em>Premonition, Red, Paranoia<\/em> and, last year, <em>The Surfer<\/em> and <em>The Supremes at Earl\u2019s All-You-Can-Eat<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tHis other TV credits include roles on <em>FBI: Most Wanted, Runaways<\/em> and the recently canceled murder mystery comedy <em>The Residence<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tReflecting on being an Australian in Hollywood, McMahon told the <em>Sydney Morning Herald<\/em> in 2017, \u201cIt\u2019s a funny town and there\u2019s a bit of a last man standing theory to it sometimes.\u201d Early on, he recalled, often feeling \u201clike you\u2019re not cutting it, you\u2019re never going to and nothing is happening for you and you\u2019re just the wrong person and maybe you should go and do something else or go home to Australia, which a lot of people did.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tOf his role in <em>FBI: Most Wanted<\/em>, McMahon told <em>Soap Opera Digest<\/em> that the part was a \u201creally fascinating character.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cI was thinking of going back to network television at the time, and I had read a lot of scripts and I was quite surprised, to be honest, that this is the one that stuck with me the most, but it was and here I am,\u201d he said of joining the CBS series, which had a backdoor pilot in the first season of <em>FBI<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tReflecting on his career with <em>Soap Opera Digest<\/em>, McMahon credited the \u201ccommitment\u201d he picked up from working on <em>The Power, The Passion<\/em> and <em>Nip\/Tuck<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cI\u2019ve never lost my passion for what I do,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd so I think that is something that I\u2019ve carried throughout my whole career and I think it\u2019s been an important facet of what I consider being successful, that I\u2019ve stayed committed to my craft and evolving that craft, and enjoying working in that space.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tSurvivors include his third wife, Kelly, who he married in 2014, and his daughter, Madison, with his second wife, American game show host Brooke Burns. His first wife was Australian singer-actress Dannii Minogue, sister of Kylie Minogue.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tMcMahon even had a funny moment with his ex-sister-in-law, filming a scene in which he and Kylie Minogue kiss, when he returned to Australia to make <em>Swinging Safari <\/em>in 2018.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cThat was an impromptu moment,\u201d McMahon told the <em>Herald Sun<\/em>. \u201c[Director] Steph [Elliott] said \u2018Do what you want, Julian!\u2019 and I thought, \u2018Bugger it, I\u2019ll get up and snog my ex sister-in-law\u2019 \u2026 She had this great reaction, like she was being attacked by some kind of creature.
